About

My interest in art began with inspiring and encouraging highschool art teachers.  While in highschool, I took adult summer art classes offered through Sir Sanford Fleming College in Haliburton, ON, and one-on-one classes with oil painter, Joan Divine. I then enrolled in the Fine Arts programme at the University of Ottawa, and finally took Advertising Design at George Brown College in Toronto.

Art followed me while running a small mural painting business in Toronto. This period saw many residential and commercial murals throughout the city and surrounding area on walls, ceilings and furniture.  Many recreations of Michelangelo, Turner, Ver Meer, etc. were requested and thus began my interest in the techniques of the Old Masters’ and an attempt to create an old world feel in my work. I currently am on a flower painting kick, and have been delving into digital art, but I do love to jump around from subject to subject.

I have taught art to children, teens and adults, plus I have some online art classes available. I live with my family in a rural prairie area in central Canada.

On this website, you will find some of my art, some DIY tutorials and crafty things too.  Please check my Instagram for more frequently updated photos. Since my interest in art began with inspiring and encouraging art teachers, my hope is that you will be inspired as well.  Thank you for stopping by!
